Crenshaw’s Blessing Box

“If you need something, take something; if you can give something, give something.”

What began as a vision of the Growing in Christ Sunday School class, is now a mission opportunity as well as a way to connect Crenshaw with our local community.

It has come to life due to the gifts of MANY! The congregation gathered around the Blessing Box on Sunday, May 7, 2023, to officially commemorate the “opening” of the many blessings to come.

What is a Blessing Box?

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Acts 20:35

Our Blessing Box offers a way to bless people within our community who are in need of food, personal care items, or spiritual support. The Blessing Box is open 24 hours a day and operates with the mission of “If you need something take something; if you can give something, give something.”

How does it work?

“This is my commandment: love each other just as I have loved you.”

John 15:12

Anyone can donate to the Blessing Box that is located within the first curbed area as you enter the parking lot off Brown Street. You may leave items in the box itself, or if space is limited, place your items in the “overflow” box within the church foyer. Items may be dropped off during church office hours throughout the week, or on Sundays as you enter or leave worship service. Office hours as Monday-Friday, 8:00-2:00 pm.
